Welcome to Fresh i Planet.
Fresh i Planet brings young filmmakers from around the world together online to make a film. Even though you might live thousands of miles or even countries apart, Fresh i Planet makes it possible to work and collaborate with new friends from around the globe to make great new films.
Imagine creating a film with international actors and locations – without even leaving your own town. Imagine being able to come up with a film project, and having other kids around the world help you make it happen. Let’s make it happen.
Our Featured Fresh i Planet Project
Fresh i Planet film projects are made up of two teams: you or your team and another team from some unknown place – unknown for now! We’re traveling around the globe to recruit the best young filmmakers. In the summer of 2006, the first Fresh i Planet project was launched in New Delhi, India.

The Freshi Film Team flew to New Delhi to meet and create films with young filmmakers. The Freshi Team traveled with them all over this ancient city as they created their film, and even to a rural (country) school where many of the kids were the children of professional snake charmers – maybe future snake charmers themselves (and maybe even future contributors to Fresh i Planet).
With the help of the New Delhi Divya Chaya Trust school students, Freshi made some great friends and fellow film collaborators in India! As they say in India, “Namaste!!”
It’s just the beginning! Rekha Modi, the Director of the Divya Chaya Trust, is involved in arts education and is especially interested in providing youth with the tools and know-how to express themselves through the arts.
Freshi has partnered with the Divya Chaya Trust to develop a FreshiFilmWorx program with their schools in New Delhi and Calcutta. From there, with the help of the young filmmakers themselves, the Freshi program will move across India, and involve kids from the most remote towns and villages. Kids working with kids: that’s what Fresh i Planet is all about.
