Copyrighting Movies, Scripts & Scores:

So, you’re finally ready to copyright your own original work. This is a big step, but it’s a step in the right direction. Your film (video imagery, script and music score) is classified by the US Copyright office as a ‘motion picture’ and you will use Form PA to copyright your work. So whether your film is 25 seconds, 25 minutes or 2.5 hours in length, all are considered a motion picture.
